NOTE FROM ME:  Well, this is an interesting discussion.  We would ALWAYS prefer to have the videos done by the choreographers but many choreographers don't know how to do videos and don't know how to get them posted on the internet and are happy to have their dances put online.  Others don't feel that way.  We will try to ensure the approval of the choreographers from now on before they are submitted and in fact I will ask Stacy to put another section in the form to indicate whether they have been approved by the choreographer.   I hope that people submitting them (which I for one appreciate greatly and others who tell me constantly that they really make a difference in what dances they choose to teach) will take the extra step to ask for approval before you submit them.  I realize that this is the choreographer's product and if they don't want their videos out there, I understand that.  We always send the list of videos out to let everyone know what is being submitted.  If you would take a moment and look at them to be sure it meets your approval (new ones and also the ones already on our site) and if it doesn't, all you have to do is ask that it be removed and it will be removed IMMEDIATELY.  I have to say that all of these videos are on youtube before we even get them so I can't control that they are out there and if people go to youtube and just put in the name of the dance they are going to be viewed.  We will do what we can on our site to keep the choreographers happy.   I have always followed the request of the choreographers not to publish dances if they are brand new and being introduced at an upcoming event because I can understand that they don't want everyone learning the dance before they even get there.   Some people have paid sites and have requested we don't post them and we have followed that request.  I think this is going to be an ongoing situation because videos aren't going to go away so if someone has a better solution, I'd be happy to hear about it.  If people would like to not have any videos posted, you can let me know that too.

* We do not ARCHIVE dances.  There are lots of sites that do that.  We only post BRAND NEW DANCES or dances that are moving up the survey.  A new dance is no more than one month old.  There is a form to use to add them and the choreography date needs to be added on the form.  This is just a reminder because some people are sending us older dances so if you don't see them posted, you will understand why.   Thanks, Carol

Please do not use caps in your postings.
